Summary:
Every year, the Maryland General Assembly meets for 90 days from January-April to create new laws in the state. The Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling (Center) tracks all legislation relevant to gambling and submits public testimony when appropriate. In this webinar, the Center’s Government Relations Manager, Blair Inniss, will guide participants through the whole legislative process and explain the work that the Center undertakes in Annapolis while the General Assembly is in session. After this webinar, attendees will have an understanding of the lifecycle of a bill in Maryland, what bills the Center tracked in 2025, and how anyone can get involved with shaping the legal and policy framework of Maryland.
