Gambler’s Anonymous

Gamblers Anonymous, founded in 1957, is an international fellowship of people who have a compulsive gambling problem. They meet regularly to share their “experiences, strength and hope”, so they can help each other solve the problems compulsive gambling has created in their lives, and to help others recovery from the addiction of compulsive gambling.

SMART Recovery Meetings

Self-Management And Recovery Training (SMART) is a global community of mutual-support groups. At meetings, participants help one another resolve problems with any addiction (to drugs or alcohol or to activities such as gambling or over-eating). Participants find and develop the power within themselves to change and lead fulfilling and balanced lives guided by a science-based and sensible 4-Point Program®.

Have the Conversation with Someone Who "Has Been There"

The Center’s Peer Recovery Support Specialists (Peers) connect help seekers with the most useful resources with in their communities, including Support Meetings like Gambler’s Anonymous. Peers can help persons navigate their recovery journey and promote sustained recovery as a living example that recovery is possible. Peers can also provide additional support by joining individuals at their first 12 step or SMART recovery meeting.
