Davene Hinton is the Program Assistant for the Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling (the Center). In her role, she assists the Center staff with general administrative support as well as collaboration on special projects in fulfillment of the Center’s mission and goals. Davene also provides support to Maryland organizations and residents, connecting them to the Center’s resources they need for problem gambling awareness, prevention, treatment, and recovery.
Prior to joining the Center, Davene worked for nine years within the real estate market, as an Advertiser Coordinator for Coldwell Banker/Ellicott City, then as an agent for Keller Williams Preferred Properties. Davene continues to hold an active Maryland real estate agent license. Davene worked over 15 years in the banking field with Chevy Chase Bank in Laurel, MD as a Senior Loan Processor Supervisor, providing management and oversight on projects to ensure efficiency and a high level of customer service. Davene completed her BS, Business Administration degree at the University of Baltimore, and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Business from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
