Moving Forward Together
Transforming Challenges Into Opportunities

FY24 was the 12th year of operation of the Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling (the Center). The Center began operation on July 1, 2012, to help address the expansion of legal gambling availability within Maryland. Legislation authorizing this expansion also provided for a problem gambling fund to be established and administered by the Maryland Department of Health’s Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) to support the services provided by the Center. The primary goal of the Center is to minimize the risks and problems associated with gambling in the State of Maryland.
